Automotive PUR Adhesive for Rear Parcel Shelf Fabric and Nonwoven Lamination
JCC-PUR is a one-component reactive polyurethane hot melt adhesive formulated for securing decorative fabric and nonwoven scrim onto automotive rear parcel shelf (package tray) board. The 100% solids product is melted at 120-140°C and dispensed by roller, slot nozzle or swirl applicator. Once the covering is pressed in place, the adhesive cures with ambient moisture into a resilient elastomer that keeps the trim tight under cabin heat and continuous road vibration.
Spunbond and needle-punched nonwovens present a porous, low-density surface, so this grade is tuned with a low melt viscosity and a controlled open time to wet the nonwoven fibres, lock them to the board and avoid strike-through on the visible fabric face.

Application Guidance
- Melt to 120-140°C; hold the tank at temperature and keep the hose warm to avoid cold spots.
- Set coat weight between 30 and 60 g/m² for most nonwoven and fabric covers.
- Join the layers inside the open time and apply steady roller pressure.
- Let the part rest 24 hours in normal workshop air to finish curing before trimming.
Packing & Care
Supplied in 20 kg pails and 200 kg drums sealed under dry air. Keep sealed and store at 15-30°C; shelf life is about 12 months. Opened containers should be resealed or blanketed with dry nitrogen, because moisture in the air begins the cure.
