Reactive PUR Hot Melt Adhesive for Automotive Parcel Shelf Fabric Lamination
PUR is a single-component reactive polyurethane (PUR) hot melt adhesive engineered for laminating decorative fabric, nonwoven scrim and soft PU foam onto rigid parcel shelf (rear package tray) panels. Supplied as a solvent-free 100% solids block, it is melted between 115 and 135°C and applied by roller, slot die, swirl or dot equipment. The controlled film gives handling strength on cooling and then crosslinks with ambient moisture into a durable thermoset elastomer.
Because the cured adhesive layer stays flexible while remaining firmly bonded, the assembled parcel shelf withstands the constant heat, humidity and road vibration of the cabin without edge lift, bubbling or delamination.

How to Process
- Bring the adhesive to 115-135°C and confirm a steady melt; do not exceed 150°C to avoid degradation.
- Apply an even film by roller, slot die or spray; wet film is normally 0.08-0.20 mm depending on fabric weight.
- Assemble within the 2-4 minute open time and press the fabric against the substrate.
- Allow 24-72 hours at ambient humidity for full crosslinking before final inspection.
Packing and Storage
Packed in 20 kg and 200 kg drums under a nitrogen blanket. Store unopened in a dry place at 15-30°C for up to 9 months. Once opened, reseal promptly or keep under inert gas, as the product reacts with moisture in the air.
