Product Overview

A non-woven, mesh-like sheet of thermoplastic adhesive made from ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) or other polyolefin systems (e.g., PE, PP, metallocene-modified PO). The web structure provides low add-on weight, breathability, and easy handling compared with films or liquid glues.

EVA/PO hot-melt webs are a cost-effective, fast, and soft-hand solution for sun visor laminations, ideal for fabric↔foam and foam↔core bonds. Choose lower-softening EVA for textile comfort layers and higher-softening PO/EVA for PP core bonding and hotter climates.

Processing Guidelines

Equipment: flatbed press, belt/continuous roller laminator, heated platen, or calendar line.

Typical processing parameters (tune per grade & stack):

  • Bondline temp: EVA 120-150 °C; PO 130-170 °C at the interface
  • Dwell time: 5-20 s in press (continuous lines: equivalent thermal exposure)
  • Pressure: 0.2-0.6 MPa (enough to wet foam/fabric without crushing)
  • Cooling: Under light pressure to lock the bond and avoid spring-back

Tips: pre-dry hygroscopic fabrics; avoid overheating foams; use release paper or PTFE belt to prevent sticking; keep web centered to avoid squeeze-out lines.

Key Features & Benefits
  • Solvent-free, low VOC, clean processing
  • Fast, reworkable thermoplastic bonds
  • Soft hand, drape, and conformability (ideal for foam and textile laminations)
  • Broad compatibility with foams, fabrics, and many plastics used in interiors

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is EVA web hot melt adhesive?
A: EVA (Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate) web hot melt adhesive is a non-woven mesh adhesive sheet that melts upon heating, creating strong and flexible bonds between materials. It is solvent-free, clean to handle, and easy to process in automotive interior production.
Q: How should the adhesive web be stored?
A: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, ideally below 30°C, to maintain optimal adhesive performance.
Q: Which materials can it bond in sun visor manufacturing?
A: Commonly bonds face fabrics (woven, knitted, nonwoven), PU foams, PVC skins, and core substrates like PP boards, injection-molded PP shells, or composite boards.
