Lamination in Reflective Material Production

Function: To bond the different functional layers of reflective materials together, forming the final reflective rolls or sheets.

Typical Structure: Base fabric (e.g., polyester fabric) + hot melt adhesive film + reflective functional layer (e.g., glass bead adhesive layer) + surface protective film.

Process: By using heated rollers (e.g., oil-heated nip rollers), the adhesive film is melted and, under pressure, permanently bonds the reflective functional layer with the base fabric (or other substrates). This process requires the adhesive film to melt evenly with moderate flowability—enough to fill fabric gaps without excessive penetration that could affect the appearance or reflective performance.
