Interior air quality has become one of the hardest specifications to meet in vehicle manufacturing. Every material inside the cabin contributes to the total volatile organic compound budget, and adhesives are traditionally one of the largest contributors. JCC has responded with a family of solvent-free copolyamide and copolyester hot melt adhesive webs that deliver structural bonding for headliners, sun visors, door panels, parcel shelves and seat components while keeping odour and emissions extremely low.
Because the web is 100 percent solid and contains no solvent or water, there is no drying step and no residual carrier to evaporate inside the vehicle. Lamination lines bond and cool in seconds, which shortens cycle time, removes ovens and dramatically reduces the floor space and energy required for each production cell.
| Grade | Chemistry | Weight | Activation | Typical Use |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| JCC-PA W95 | Copolyamide | 15-60 gsm | 95-115 degrees Celsius | Headliner fabric to PU foam,car seats |
| JCC-PA W120 | Copolyamide | 15-80 gsm | 115-140 degrees Celsius | Car seats |
| JCC-PES W125 | Copolyester | 10-60 gsm | 107-140 degrees Celsius | Car Seats |
| JCC-EVA W88 | EVA | 10-50 gsm | 74-100 degrees Celsius | Sun visor |
JCC adhesives are already used in automotive programmes for international brands including Ford, BMW and Hyundai, and the company operates ISO 9001 certified production with batch-level traceability. Webs are supplied in rolls of 100 to 1000 metres with widths from 20 mm to 1600 mm, slit to the exact width required by the customer laminating line. Typical lead time is 14-20 days, with a monthly capacity of more than one million square metres of film and web.
