Copolyamide (CoPA) hot melt adhesive granules play a crucial bonding role in manufacturing honeycomb (cellular) blinds. Because these blinds undergo constant mechanical folding, exposure to direct sunlight, and heat accumulation in window cavities, standard EVA or TPU adhesives often fall short. CoPA adhesives provide the necessary blend of high structural strength, thermal resistance, and flexibility.
Cell-to-Cell Bonding: Applied as precise longitudinal adhesive beads or web films between stacked fabric/non-woven layers to form the hollow hexagonal cells.
Aluminum Foil Lamination: Binds the inner light-blocking aluminum foil layer to non-woven or woven polyester fabrics in blackout blind variants.
Fabric Stiffening & Edge Sealing: Provides clean line stability along pleat edges without causing stiffness or bulk that prevents the blind from collapsing smoothly.

High Thermal & UV Resistance: Window environments experience temperatures upwards of 70°C (158°F). CoPA retains its bond strength without softening, creeping, or yellowing under prolonged UV exposure.
Dry-Cleaning & Wash Resistance: CoPA formulations offer strong chemical and moisture resistance, allowing finished blinds to withstand ultrasonic cleaning or steam treatments without delamination.
Sharp Melting Point & Low Viscosity: Extruded or melted CoPA granules exhibit precise, narrow melting ranges. This allows high-speed processing with clean line dispensing and zero stringing or bleed-through on porous non-woven textiles.
Flexible Soft-Touch Bond Lines: Unlike rigid adhesives that crack along pleat fold lines, CoPA polymers maintain elastic recovery to endure thousands of opening and closing cycles.
